About Us:

Dr. Tran is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. In addition, Dr. Tran is one of only 40 board certified Physician Nutrition Specialists in California. In line with their mission to deliver the highest standards of medical care he has maintained the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award with Commendation and have certifications in all of the following: 1) Clinical Bone Densitometry 2) Thyroid ultrasound and 3) Fine Needle Aspiration Thyroid Biopsy.

Additional Services:

1) Continuous Glucose Monitor System (CGMS) iPro placement and interpretation for selected diabetic patients. The CGMS iPro Recorder is attached to a tiny glucose sensor inserted just under the skin. During the course of three days, the recorder automatically measures and stores glucose values during daily activities like work, sleep, eating, and exercise. After the recording period is completed, the patient returns to our office where the device is removed and downloaded. We can then generate and interpret detailed glucose reports to uncover glucose patterns and to optimize the patient’s therapy. Based on the detailed glycemic profiles collected from the CGMS iPro Recorder, we can better tailor diabetes treatment programs for each patient. This may be particularly helpful for patients who experience inconsistent high and low glucose levels, who experience hypoglycemia unawareness and who generally desire better control.

2) Diabetes/nutrition education classes in both English and Spanish conducted by a Certified Diabetes Educator (C.D.E.) for our diabetes patients.

3) Insulin pump management with assistance from Clinical Specialists (R.N./C.D.E.) for our insulin pump patients.

Mission:

To deliver compassionate care and a comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of every patient in a timely fashion. Since continuity of care and communication is critically important to them, they will provide dictated consultation notes to the referring physicians.

The office staff is also fluent in Spanish and Vietnamese.

Currently accepting Medicare, PPOs, most health plans (Aetna, Ameriplan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of CA, Champus Tricare/Triwest, Choicecare/Humana, Cigna, First Health/CCN/Coventry, Greatwest Healthcare, Healthnet, Integrated Healthplan, Pacificare, and United Healthcare), and the following medical groups (Affiliated Doctors of Orange County [ADOC], Bristol Park Medical Group, Family Choice, Arta Medical Group, Noble Medical Group, Prospect Medical Group, and United Care Medical Group). We also welcome self-pay/cash patients.
